About the tours

Edinburgh is the unofficial birthplace of ‘fake news’, courtesy of historic resident Sir Walter Scott who invented history as entertainment in the 19th Century. Following in his footsteps, Angus, a Chartered Town-Planner and Edinburgh resident of more than 20 years, has created a unique comedy strolling tour that re-examines the social, cultural and built heritage of its UNESCO protected High Street in the heart of the Old Town.

His fabulous walking tours provide a fresh and amusing reinterpretation of key historic sights and famous local residents. So unique in fact that almost nothing he tells you can be found in any history books! In this post-truth age, it’s your job to spot the genuine ‘facts’ among the urban myths.
